The meeting was called to order and a special welcome was given to Steve Lewis
CHAIRMANS OPENING REMARKS
Haydn congratulated the Professional team for the turnaround in the second half of the season, particularly the last 10 games culminating in winning the British and Irish Cup
Haydn also thanked Rowland Phillips for his contribution to the club and wished him well in his new career with Wales women rugby.
Haydn also wished James Buckland all success in his role as head coach
In terms of the role of the Supporters Club Haydn mentioned our attempt to support the whole club. Over £5000 has been donated and this included Kit for the amateurs, amateurs travel expenses, 1st Team Physio equipment and fuel for the 1st team bus.
Haydn also mentioned Sponsorship raising events and commented that the highlight was Griff Rhys Jones in March, an event that raised £1800.
On social media we have 10,000 followers up from 4000 last year.
Haydn raised a serious note which was the cost of running buses to away games. This is an added problem this season with 4 away games on a Friday or a Sunday.
Gwynn was asked to address the meeting from the ODP point of view.
Gwynn mentioned that after two and a half years negotiation a new lease will stanton 2 October. The current £200 a year lease to the Crown Estate will increase to £50,000.
The ODP Partnership no longer exists and 2 limited companies will run ODP under ODP Sports Ltd.
One will be Richmond Summer Clubs Ltd and the other LW Amatures Ltd
This will allow benefits in terms of Sport Grants and funding and tax advantages
There is encouraging growth in the Amatures and we are now running a Druids and Dragons who train 2 times a week , the Occies, Women,and all age ranges from minis to under 13 to under 20.
Gwynn mentioned this is the best situation he can remember.
236 having lost 49 Oxford members ,but regained 27 from the old guard.
£5000 on balance but outstanding debtors which will confidently result in a balance of £9500

There were no outstanding issues
The meeting was handed over to Steve Lewis, Director of Rugby , who gave a clear and detailed description of the strategy regarding player recruitment and disposal. He was frank and balanced and cleared many myths. Uppermost was finance which at present is uncertain but a high quality squad has been assembled
The meeting ended with all looking forward to the season
